As we study this letter together we will find that it is very much still relevant to 21st century Christians. Practical issues of Christian living, ie joy, fellowship and unity, prayer, humility, advancing the gospel and defending the purity of the gospel are addressed. As Paul looks at all of life he found that the surpassing greatness of knowing Jesus Christ outweighs all. I want to know Christ. I press on. I take hold.
